You might’ve heard about “that Netflix bitcoin documentary”. Well, this is that documentary: And it’s not too hard to see why people raved about it. Released in 2016, it was one of the mainstream releases to poke its feelers into the cryptocurrency world to find out more. You can watch the trailer for Banking on Bitcoin over here on YouTube. It’s been called one of the best introductions to cryptocurrency, so it’s a great place to start.
The Blockchain and Us is a short, independently produced documentary about blockchain and its effects on society and the people in it. The film comes in at just under 33 minutes. It’s rated one of the top documentary films in the bitcoin genre, so it deserves a place on this list!
The Bitcoin Gospel is a documentary specifically exploring the history of bitcoins and the writings of the creator Satoshi Nakamoto. If you want to know how bitcoin got here, this is the one to watch.
